SOUND LEARNING GROUP
Since the
concept of sound was reoccurring in the last lesson, this week we looked at
instruments that produce a loud and soft sound.
The children compared the sound of a wooden block and soft, plastic
blocks by hitting both with a drum stick as well as comparing a bottle with
hard candy and a bottle with pom poms in them.
They determined which object made the louder sound. To extend on this lesson we will
continue to explore the big idea of volume, however it will be explored through
surfaces and the sounds they make.
