Tiger Cam
Week of Nov 19th-
23rd, 2012
I was very excited to
show the children the Tiger Cam app on the iPad. They were very excited to get their pictures
taken (we use the iPad often for taking pictures in the classroom so they were
familiar with how this worked.) When I
uploaded their faces onto the Tiger Cam app, they were very surprised to see
their faces change! Many of them wanted
their pictures to change back. Some
children wanted to flip back and forth between the original photo and the
animal print photo. A few of them
started to growl at their photos when they became tigers and zebras! They were very animated while looking at their
animal faces…there were many different emotions observed: shock, surprise,
excitement, uncertainty, and curiosity!
Next week I would
like to go explore the dollhouse scene with the children. They are often very interested in
investigating the family aspect no matter what scene we are looking at. The ocean animals were families, the safari
animals were families, and even with the Tiger Cam some of them mentioned that
the different animals with their faces were daddies, mommies and babies.
