Family Roles - Playing house at bedtime

This week we played the roles of mom, dad, and baby. Blankets and pillows were available for the children to explore with. The children immediately took action and stepped into the family roles. A few children laid down on the pillows and other grabbed blankets. The children who were laying down were acting like babies and pretending to cry. The other children were grabbing the blankets and covering up the children who were laying down. They were talking amongst each other and after a few they even brought books over. They started to read to each other and rub each other’s backs. The children were being very considerate and loving towards each other.
